Espace San Bernardo
La Rosière is part of the only ski area in the Northern Alps to straddle the French-Italian boarder, The Espace San Bernardo.
Red and black slopes of the Mont Valaisan area offer a new panorama with a peak at 2800m with a technical skiing
With a ski area French and Italian slopes, La Rosière boasts long, gentle and sunny slopes on the French side and more challenging, north-facing skiing across in the Aosta Valley. La Rosière is perfect for families and beginners, who can make their first turns on its south-facing slopes, as well as pleasure-seekers who want to adventure over the border to sample some Italian delicacies.
At the bottom of the slopes, the first thing to grab your attention is the view.
La Rosière is known as the balcony of the Tarentaise, and offers south-facing views for more than 180°.
Another nice surprise at the end of the day is the light. From dawn to dusk, La Rosière’s slopes are bathed in sunlight!
It might well be the sunniest resort in this corner of the Alps, but that does not mean to say it has less snow cover. Located just a few kilometres as the crow flies from Mont Blanc and the Petit-Saint-Bernard pass, the Espace San Bernardo benefits from favourable weather streams which guarantee excellent snow cover from mid-December to the end of April. The ski area regularly ranks as one of the top ski resorts in the Northern Alps for snowfall.
