Description
Along the consular road from Vienne to Milan via Col du Petit Saint-Bernard Passn La Tourmotte, an old feudal bauley (mound) from the 11th century, was contained within one of the Count of Savoie's castles, which was much larger in the 13th century.
Remnants of the entrance, the castle wall and the original bailey near the church are still visible.
At the baseof the church tower is "Notre Dame de Lourdes", an almost perfect copy of Massabielle Cave in Lourdes. The entire area is located above an old village.
