The resort is perched on the extensive south facing slopes between the Cheval Noir (2832m) and the Grand Pic de la Lauzière (2550m) which are linked by one of the most renowned mountain passes of the Alps, the Col de la Madeleine (2000m). From whatever angle, the feeling of spaciousness will impress itself on you at all times.
