Founded in 1544, Bonvillard chapel is dedicated to St Jacques Le Majeur (St James the Greater), one of the apostles and the patron saint of pilgrims, and St Pantaléon, the patron saint of doctors and midwives. It is located in the small hamlet of Bonvillard where 24 families used to live in 1621. Its altarpiece dates from 1730.
